On August 3, 2009, Paula Cushman assumed the presidency of Aviation & Missile Solutions, LLC (AMS) upon appointment to the position by the Board of Directors.

AMS was formed in 1999 as a Joint Venture between Camber Corporation and Dynetics, Inc. In April 2004, AMS, LLC became a wholly owned subsidiary of Dynetics, Inc. to enable AMS to maintain our Small Business qualification. In October 2008, when Dynetics was re-classified as a large business, the Joint Venture was re-instated between Camber and Dynetics.

Customers include Apache Attack Helicopter PMO; Utility Helicopter PMO; Cargo Helicopter PMO; Program Manager for Aviation Systems; AMRDEC Aviation Engineering Directorate; Applied Sensors, Guidance & Electronics Directorate; System Simulation and Development Directorate; Engineering Directorate; Propulsion and Structures Directorate; Software Engineering Directorate; Advanced Systems Directorate; Integrated Material Management Center and Aviation Engineering Division (Corpus Christi, TX).

On 1 February 2005 AMS, LLC was awarded a Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) by the U.S. Army Aviation and Missile Command (AMCOM) for Technical Domain Advisory and Assistance Services after competing successfully in the full and open arena. The contract for EXpedited PRofessional & Engineering Support Services (EXPRESS) follows the O2K contract. The AMS Team developed a strong technical support base for AMCOM EXPRESS building on its success on Omnibus 2000 (O2K) which contract ended in November 2005.

BPA W31P4Q-05-A-0027 was initially awarded for one year and extended through GFY2008. In October 2008, BPA W31P4Q-09-A-0023 was awarded through January 2010. AMS anticipates annual extensions and looks forward to continued support to AMCOM EXPRESS via individual Task Orders.

The AMS team has grown to include approximately 45 team members using their own GSA Schedule and 104 subcontractors using the AMS GSA Professional Engineering Services (PES) Schedule GS-23F-0017P. Over 82% of our members are small businesses and more than 56% of the work awarded to AMS by AMCOM is being performed by these small business entities.
